So tonight is the finale of American Idol, and a worship leader at my church, New Life, is in the finale.

In EIGHT more days, I will be on my way to Michigan. I am so stinking excited!
It will be such a relief to be out of Arkansas and with my family for a little bit.
Hopefully, one day, I will be up there (or New York) for good.

Anyways, that’s all I got. Nothing absolutely exciting happening lately.

So today I purchased a plane ticket.
Round trip. Direct flight…!!!
This means that I will get to live out a dream of mine

I will be attending a Michigan Wolverines game at Michigan Stadium in November.
I am so excited!
I will finally get to see some family that I haven’t seen in a few years as well.

My mother reminded me that it could possibly be snowing in Michigan by this time. YEAH!!

I found this picture online the other day, and it made me smile so I thought I would share it with you guys.
I really wish I could remember where this was taken, but there was a competition (with several other young boys), and they all dressed up as Ghandi in honor of his birthday. I couldn’t save the bigger picture with all of them in it, but here is this one.

Next weekend, I may get to see Jessica. I have missed her so much since she has moved. But Phil Wickham is playing in Pine Bluff on the 18th, and we just might get to see each other there.

so it’s funny how the Lord works. whenever I start getting the urge to get out of here and move up north, and when that is all that I focus on, the Lord will remind me (through the song, kinda randomly) that there are greater things to be done here in this city…

i know that i have posted about this song before but i am doing it again so deal with it. there really isn’t a lot to say though, but for the past few weeks, there is nothing more that I wanted to do than to go up to Michigan, to visit and to start saving so I can move up there.

then out of nowhere, i hear that song. it just helps me to remember to be patient, and that things need to be done here before i can go there, if i am even supposed to be there.

so thats it. it probably didn’t make sense because i was just rambling but thats my thought right now.
i better see everyone at the Grand Opening tonight. Greater Little Rock NLC campus (by wild river country). it is going to be absolutely wonderful!!

All I have to say is that, EVERYONE needs to be at the Grand Opening this weekend.

So after tonight, I realize I love helping. I didn’t do a whole lot tonight, but I did make a Starbucks run with Nicole and got coffee for Cecilia and some of the worship band. You don’t understand how happy that made me! I know, I am a nerd, but it makes me feel so amazing! Anyways, I will be back up there Wednesday helping Amber, and I will be back Friday-Sunday helping to feed the band…and it makes me so happy to help

Friday night was Derek and Amanda’s wedding, and it was so classy. Very simple yet elegant. I enjoyed. Afterwards, Tara, Kitt, and I went to Marketplace, and it was so nice to catch up with them.

Saturday night, I went to the football game with mom, dad, and grandma. The people tailgating next to us were from Denmark, and they were so enjoyable. They even shared their food with us, and it was absolutely wonderful! I can NOT wait to go to the LSU game.

I went to go see Hamlet 2 yesterday, and I laughed so much. At times, I felt bad for laughing especially during Rock Me Sexy Jesus. But it was so dang catchy and so funny to me. It’s definately not a movie for everyone. You have to understand that type of humor, or else, it’s stupid, cheap, and ridiculous. But to me, it was highly entertaining. As one article puts it:

“Though the songs’ titles and lyrics are kooky and crass, they are presented with complete sincerity by drama teacher Dana Marschz (Steve Coogan) and his cast of misfit students.”

on another note, Michigan football started yesterday
even though they lost 25-23 against Utah, i was still very impressed
they are such a young team with a new quarterback and a new coach
anyways, this is my team, and i love them very much

hopefully i will be there in october

So here I am, bored out of my mind, and I stumble upon this gem of an article ‘31 Ways to Meet A Quality Man’ from the author Pari Livemore who wrote ‘How to Marry A Fabulous Man’

Therfore, I thought I would put my two cents in…
I am not going to into detail because then we would be here all day
but here are the highlights…for me, at least

1) Know what you want
List the three most important qualities you admire in a man. Only date men who have those qualities.

^i know my top three…i will not settle for anything less

2) Always look your best
You never know when or where you’ll meet someone.

^i have a problem with this one…he is going to like no matter what.
he may think my best is when i am outside, in the heat, running with no makeup and sweating like crazy…personally i think thats when i am at my worst (and dont expect me to get all dolled up for the grocery store. maybe sometimes, i may get “cute” but never looking my best)

3) Buy a dress
…that makes you feel beautiful and wear it often.

^no joke. there is nothing like a great dress to make you feel amazing!

4) Be a flirt
Do a little flirting if you’re in a safe environment. Don’t be afraid to stare at an attractive man from across the room.

^this one isn’t good for me. i usually end up looking like a tard.

5) Get sporty
Observe or participate in athletic events. Join a ski, volleyball or tennis club.

^yes please

6) Date online
Sign up with an Internet dating service. Try niche ones for people with similar interests such as religion, politics or the arts.

^to me, thats just weird…and creepy

7) Go for the friends
If a guy has cool friends, throw him a surprise birthday party.

^this is just wrong..especially if you and him have been flirting or one of you thinks there is a possibilty with the other…never EVER go for the friends

8 ) Practice recycling
Trade your old beaus with your friends.

^another just weird one. i don’t want my friends dating my ex’s nor do i want to date their ex’s…there’s a reason why we aren’t together.

9) Turn up the kitchen heat
Learn to cook a few simple, delicious meals. Start a cooking class for singles.

^i do not cook nor do i have the desire to ever cook. it’s a little something called A.D.D. that does not make me ever have the desire to cook

10) Be open-minded
If a man has the qualities you want, even if he’s not perfect, make an effort to date outside your comfort zone.

^this is one i definately to learn. i am so dang picky that i won’t pay attention to you unless you fit my mold…i should probably not be so picky but i don’t want to settle. they’re just may be some stuff that could use a leeway

11) Be your best self
Polish the facets of your life, both skills and attitudes.

^yup. i’ve been there…for almost 23 years. thanks for the reminder

12) Reinvent yourself
Lose some weight, buy a new wardrobe, develop new interests or break old habits.

^trying to do that, but does that make me or not me?

13) Don’t be too aggressive
Why serve yourself to a man on a silver platter? Make it more difficult; give him the can and let him open it.

^well I have tried this, he was gone shortly. but then again I did try the other side, and he is no longer here either…which one?

14) Visualize what you want
Conjure visions of a successful courtship and a beautiful marriage.

^i do..its called sleeping
